ELLEN W. GROARKE
ELLEN W. GROARKE worked for a fortune 500 corporation in the Properties Department where she worked as Real Estate Counsel handling all matters affecting the company's local market properties, including supervising real estate related litigation, resolving zoning violations, and negotiating commercial leases and sales.
Ms. Groarke joined Bonchonsky & Zaino, LLP in August of 2009 where she regularly represents major banks in mortgage related litigation, including foreclosure actions, loan servicing, loan modifications, consumer finance claims, lender-liability issues, mortgage securitization, unfair and deceptive trade practices and violations of federal and state lending laws. Ms. Groarke regularly litigates title insurance matters, including title claim litigation, coverage issues, mortgage fraud and lien priority issues. Ms. Groarke also has experience practicing in the federal bankruptcy courts.
Ms. Groarke is a graduate of St. John's University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, earning many honors. In 2001, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law, where she studied abroad at the University of Nice School of Law studying Comparative Constitutional Law with the Honorable Antonin Scalia of the United States Supreme Court and distinguished constitutional law professor Leon Friedman.
